Course Objectives

The objectives of this qualification are to provide students with solid knowledge and skills to provide non-emergency transport services and care for patients with illnesses or disabilities.

These transport services are usually pre-arranged/booked, and the time of response is not a high priority in comparison to emergency transport, with workers providing appropriate patient assessment and handover, along with following procedures for patient movement and handling.

The course consists of 3 module phases:

• e-Learning (self-paced online units) 
• 9 days of classroom
• Clinical placement that needs to include 6 patient transfers. Included – We arrange your placements for you
Career Pathways

After successful completion of the program, students will be awarded a Nationally Recognised Qualification for HLT311210 Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport.


This qualification prepares individuals for rewarding careers in non-emergency patient transport, providing safe and compassionate care for patients with illnesses or disabilities.


Graduates can pursue various roles, including:

• Advanced First Aider

• Patient Transport Officer

• First Responder in Health Care

Units of competency

To be awarded the HLT31120 Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport, 10 units must be completed, comprising:

8 core units and 2 elective units.

•HLTOUT001 Implement safe access and egress
•HLTOUT007 Transport non-emergency patients under operational conditions
•HLTOUT010 Communicate in complex situations to support health care
•HLTWHS005 Conduct manual tasks safely

•HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy
Fees and Payments

Course Fees: $2990


Payment Terms: A deposit of $1000 is required to secure your enrolment. The remaining balance will be invoiced during your classroom session, and full payment is required on completion of your classroom component.

We also offer a payment plan of $500 or $1000 a month, payable on the 1st or the 15th of the month, whilst Wilson Medic One does not charge additional fees for this service, EZYPAY, the subscription payment service used, does.

The course fee balance needs to be paid by the end of the classroom time or, if utilising a payment plan, within 12 months.  This will be discussed on an individual level. Full payment is required before the certificate can the released.

Course Delivery

This course requires face-to-face training to gain the practical, hands-on skills that you need, with some components of online learning involved.

We can deliver the course on-site anywhere in Western Australia, or your team is welcome to join our regular classes at our training facility in Belmont, Perth (Level 1, 190 Abernethy Road, Belmont, WA 6104).


100% attendance at the classroom time is required due to the course content level.
