HLT41120 Certificate IV Health Care program reflects workers who provide initial pre-hospital and out-of-hospital basic health care response and assessment to patients requiring urgent medical services.
The provision of urgent clinical care includes providing basic life support. The qualification applies to people working in a variety of roles within the health care system:

•Patient Transport Officers

The objectives of this qualification are to equip learners with the skills and competence to provide initial pre-hospital and out-of-hospital basic health care, including patient assessment and urgent medical response. The program also covers basic life support, preparing graduates for roles such as Industrial Medic, Ambulance Officer, Emergency Patient Transport Officer, or other related positions.
The course is delivered across three modules, which include:
e-Learning: Self-paced online units
Classroom training: Four weeks of face-to-face learning
Clinical placement: 80 hours of supervised practical experience
This HLT41120 – Certificate IV Healthcare covers work involving the delivery of limited direct client care in an emergency response context. The qualification focuses on work in the ambulance industry done by volunteers or workers who provide basic emergency response and transport roles in areas where there is a relatively low workload. This qualification is suited to Australian Apprenticeship pathways.

After successful completion of the programme, students will be awarded a Nationally Recognised Qualification for HLT41120 – Certificate IV in Health Care.
These units may provide credit towards a range of other health and related qualifications at Certificate IV level and above, with many students continuing with their pre-hospital care knowledge and training and moving into more advanced areas of study as a natural progression.
The course includes 9 Core Units and 7 Elective Units, which are delivered in a cluster format, providing a program that is holistic in its approach and has meaning and relevance to the student’s work functions, as the program is based on real work tasks.

Course fees: $4750
Payment Terms: A deposit of $1000 is required to secure your enrolment. The remaining balance will be invoiced during your classroom session, and full payment is required on completion of your classroom component.
We also offer a payment plan of $500 or $1000 a month payable on the 1st or the 15th of the month, whilst Wilson Medic One do not charge additional fees for this service, EZYPAY, the subscription payment service used, does. The course fee balance needs to be paid by the end of the classroom time or, if utilising a payment plan, within 12 months. This will be discussed on an individual level. Full payment is required before the certificate can the released.

This course requires face-to-face training to gain the practical, hands-on skills that you need, with some components of online learning involved.
We are flexible on where you would like to complete this course – we can travel to your site in Western Australia, or we have regular classes at our training facility in Belmont, Perth (Level 1, 190 Abernethy Road, Belmont, WA, 6104).
100% attendance is required for the classroom time due to the level of course content.
